Heal California Wellness Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team as a remote specialist within our Detox Center. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, addiction counselors, and support staff, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. • Actively engage with patients and their families to create individualized aftercare plans, assessing their unique needs and challenges in transitioning from detox to ongoing support.
• Utilize conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to manage resistance within clients, guiding them towards positive behavior change and increased engagement in their recovery journey.
• Thoroughly document all interactions, assessments, interventions, and case closures in patient records, adhering to established social work and healthcare standards to promote continuity of care.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the DSM diagnostic criteria, employing it to accurately assess and address the psychological and developmental needs of clients, particularly adolescents and families.
• Implement therapeutic techniques, including behavior modification and assertiveness training, to assist clients in developing healthier coping mechanisms and improving overall mental well-being.

The Clinical Social Worker will primarily work with individuals in the detoxification phase of recovery, as well as their families. Within this role, you will have the unique opportunity to impact vulnerable populations, including adolescents facing substance use issues and families navigating the complexities of addiction. Your expertise will be vital in providing guidance, resources, and emotional support to help these clients achieve stability and long-term recovery.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• An active California LCSW license with a strong understanding of state regulations and ethical practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a focus on conveying complex ideas clearly and empathetically.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries while building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Efficient time management and organizational skills, ensuring timely completion of clinical documentation and patient records.

• Experience working within addiction recovery or mental health settings, particularly in detoxification or inpatient environments.
• Familiarity with community resources and support networks available for clients transitioning out of detox.
• Training or certification in specific therapeutic modalities relevant to addiction treatment, such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT, or DBT is a plus.

• Competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 per year, based on your caseload and experience.
