Job description

Austin Industries has an outstanding opportunity for an IT Desktop Technician at our corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas. The IT Desktop Technician will provide general and escalated support to all Employee-Owners at all headquarters, offices, and jobsites of all Austin operating companies. They'll focus on coordination, installation and implementation of all IT hardware and software including but not limited to, laptops, desktops, tablets, iPads, docking stations, monitors, audio/video equipment, phones, and wireless devices.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site and remote maintenance, troubleshooting for computer hardware, peripherals, software, virus, network connection and mobile device configuration
  • Recognize, diagnose, and resolves common system issues; may use remote desktop screen sharing software to quickly and accurately assist users with issues
  • Responds to telephone calls, emails and ticket requests for technical support
  • Software and hardware installations, updates and troubleshooting
  • Audio/video conference setup and support
  • Printer/scanner setup and support
  • Document, track and monitor the problems to ensure a timely resolution
  • Assist Asset department with imaging of new and upgraded equipment
  • Track, document recurring problems, and recommend corrective actions to the appropriate IT team
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • An associate degree in computer technology, information systems, or related field preferred but not required
  • 2+ years of experience in computer technology support or related area
  • Azure Fundamentals Certificate preferred
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within field
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, customer services, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Requirements:
  • Be available to work at Austin Bridge & Road headquarters in Coppell, Texas as needed per rotating schedule
  • Be available to travel to jobsites at least once every quarter
