Job description

Our fast-growing CPA firm has an opening for a Senior Tax Consultant

You will assist with client engagements, tax preparation, tax planning and other projects. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational and client service skills, problem solving skills and the ability to work in a semi-autonomous manner. The position requires experience with QuickBooks desktop and online platforms.

Your specific responsibilities and duties include:

  • Review and manage projects including federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships and corporations
  • Review QuickBooks accounting files and create adjusting entries to prepare reports for tax return preparation
  • Assist with comprehensive tax planning for client engagements
  • Assist with management of firm databases, project tracking and client communications
  • Build and maintain client relationships and manage all aspects of the client engagement process
  • Research tax law and consult on tax technical questions
  • Assist clients with QuickBooks entries and accounting related matters
  • Must have a strong ability to meet deadlines and be willing to work longer hours during tax season

Requirements:

  • 3 to 8 years of accounting experience is required (public accounting preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA is highly desired
  • Experience with QuickBooks software (Online and Desktop)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with CCH Axcess\ProSystem software is preferred
  • Flexibility to adapt to new situations
  • Proactive approach to knowledge of software, processes, and workflows
