Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital in Stevens Point, WI is seeking a FIELD SERVICE TECH II to join our INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY team!
The IT Field Services Technician Level 2 is responsible for Tier 2 technical service to the health care end-user community at facilities across the Aspirus Health System. The IT Field Services Technician will provide end-users with support across a wide array of end user compute devices and activities, including but not limited to, computers, mobile devices, phones, printers, peripherals, network connectivity, access control and a variety of health care specific technologies. The IT Field Services Technician troubleshoots and resolves end-user problems and ensures correct operation of health care end-user technology. Maintains inventory of computer parts and log of all repairs/service performed. Manages the return of equipment to vendors for repair and replacement using the vendor's RMA procedures. Employs appropriate measures for retirement and/or disposal of outdated and obsolete hardware and equipment. They will also implement and manage any necessary policies, procedures, or best practices for Aspirus, Inc. regarding hardware and equipment on the Aspirus network.
HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of desktop, mobile and basic technology standards and practices normally acquired through completion of coursework in Computing and/or Networking as part of an Associate Degree program, or equivalent work experience. Information Technology related Associate Degree preferred, not required.
  • 1-3 years' experience in the maintenance of desktop, mobile and basic information technology, service in a health care setting beneficial.
  • Successful completion of Microsoft Exam MD-100 (Managing Modern Desktops) or Microsoft Exam MD-101 (Windows Client).
  • Successful completion of ITIL 4 Foundation course within 12 months of employment. ITIL 4 Foundation Certification preferred.
  • Possesses analytical skills necessary to develop and implement appropriate changes to programs and systems.
  • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills to work effectively with a team environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of operational processes and process improvement is beneficial.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to serve as project resource on small to medium projects.
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting demands.
  • Ability to execute assigned project tasks within established schedule.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the service of users and colleagues. Writes and communicates clearly and concisely.
