Job Description:

The Sr. Application Desktop Associate will be responsible for playing a crucial role in developing and maintaining our backend systems, including our Golang Teamcenter libraries, NX ufunc, Capital Harness DRC libraries among other reusable and extensible codebase. You will also manage and enhance our microservices infrastructure while contributing to web development tasks as needed. This role requires a self-driven individual who is proactive in staying current with emerging technologies and can participate in efforts effectively with a small team of developers.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Golang Teamcenter libraries, NX ufunc, Capital Harness DRC libraries among other reusable and extensible codebase.
  • Develop the upkeep and management of microservices within our technology stack.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend systems with web applications.
  • Personally, maintaining some self-driven or time driven projects.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to ensure our systems remain cutting-edge.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API integrations and microservices.
  • Contributes to the design and architecture of scalable and efficient backend systems.
  • Advocate and arbitrate with the team for the best/most effective design solutions based on requirements as defined. Some occasional interpretation/adaptation required mid cycle/implementation.
  • Ability to leverage LLMs yet understand the line between complete reliance on and "start from" as to accelerate solution delivery in a timely manner.
  • Understanding in Golang, C#, JavaScript, and Vue, or equivalent languages.
  • Familiarity with PLM tools and CAD/CAM or other Revision based Content Management systems.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Utilization of and understanding of differences in PDM and complex PLM philosophies as it is applicable to business use cases with a push towards PLM.
  • Integrating disparate tools into a PLM suite such as Simulations, Requirements Management, MBSE, or "unique space" and be comfortable explaining what was required in detail.
  • Collaborate with a team and share knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilization of and development for Teamcenter RAC with Active Workspace experience.
  • Hands-on exposure for working with large data migrations/transforms.
  • Aptitude in working directly with infrastructure/architecture across various virtualization platforms.
  • Comfort in uncharted digital territories with results delivery as it applies to business need.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with two (2) years of software development with a focus on backend systems experience.
  • Graduate Degree with zero (0) to two (2) years of software development with a focus on backend systems experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of six (6) years of software development with a focus on backend systems experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

 Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active Secret Clearance.
