Oyster Harbors Marine is seeking an experienced, motivated, and relationship-driven Yacht Broker to join our growing Connecticut team based in Westbrook, CT.

Oyster Harbors Marine is a premier marine dealership and service organization serving New England's boating community. We are known for delivering the ultimate boating experience through exceptional service, premium brands, and a passionate, professional team. Our company represents some of the most respected names in the industry, including Viking, Valhalla, Princess Yachts, Mag Bay, Everglades, Albemarle, Fjord Yachts, and Williams Jet Tenders.

This position offers the opportunity to sell both new and brokerage yachts while working alongside one of the most respected service and customer support teams in the marine industry.

Position Overview

The Yacht Broker will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients throughout Connecticut and New England while assisting customers in the purchase and sale of premium boats and yachts.

This is a highly entrepreneurial role for an individual who enjoys networking, building relationships, prospecting, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Brokerage

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified buyers and sellers.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, and customer outreach.
  • Represent both new and brokerage inventory.
  • Conduct vessel showings, sea trials, and customer demonstrations.
  • Prepare pricing recommendations and market evaluations.
  • Negotiate purchase agreements and facilitate transactions from inquiry through delivery.
  • Work closely with Oyster Harbors Marine's business office, service department, and manufacturers to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with boat owners throughout the region.
  • Deliver a white-glove customer experience before, during, and after the sale.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with customers and prospects.
  • Act as a trusted advisor throughout the ownership journey.

Marketing & Lead Development

  • Promote listings through digital marketing, social media, video, and professional photography.
  • Create and maintain high-quality online listings.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track opportunities and customer interactions.
  • Participate in company marketing initiatives and local boating events.

Boat Shows & Events

  • Represent Oyster Harbors Marine at regional boat shows and manufacturer events.
  • Participate in customer appreciation events, demo days, and marina networking opportunities.
  • Build relationships within the Connecticut and New England boating communities.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity.
  • Assist with sales forecasting and inventory planning.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with applicable regulations and company standards.
Requirements:

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous experience in yacht brokerage, marine sales, luxury sales, or a related customer-focused sales role.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Professional presentation and customer-first attitude.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout New England.

Preferred

  • Existing relationships within the Connecticut boating community.
  • CPYB (Certified Professional Yacht Broker) designation.
  • Experience with CRM systems and digital marketing platforms.
  • Knowledge of new boat sales, brokerage sales, financing, and vessel documentation.
