ECU School of Art and Design is currently seeking a Textile Design Area Studio Assistant to maintain textile areas and fulfill the following duties:
General Upkeep of Textiles Labs
  • 223

General Cleaning of the Textile Design Studios
  • Sweeping as needed
  • Clean surfaces as needed
  • Dishes rotated and put away
  • Laundry rotated and put away (check lint trap)
Refill General Consumables
  • Soap
  • Synthrapol
  • Paper towels
  • Notify faculty when we are low on supplies
Clean and Organize Equipment
  • Containers/tools: remove old labels, clean
  • Shelving: remove items and wipe surfaces
  • Scrub sinks (including spray booth)
  • Scrub backsplashes (walls around sinks and heating surfaces)
Assist Faculty/Graduate Assistant with Studio Maintenance
  • Unpacking inventory
  • Discarding packing materials, recycle cardboard, etc.
  • Organization of material/supplies in 229
GPA Requirement Minimum of 2.0 Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Textile majors are preferred.
License/certification required Special Instructions to Applicant
