Position: Floral Studio Assistant
Department: Operations, Warehouse
Location: Chicago
Report to: Dan Hogan, Studio Manager
Standard work week: Part-time hourly to start, M-F, some weekends/peak holidays. Early mornings.
Rate: $18 - $23

We are seeking a hard working, efficient, and adaptable Floral Studio Assistant to support our Chicago floral team. The Studio team works closely with the Purchasing/Buying department and Operations/Productions teams (Weddings, Events, and Daily Deliveries) to ensure proper receiving, care and maintenance for our perishable inbound product This individual keeps the fresh portion of our facility running smoothly to meet operational needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with receiving, quality assurance and floral care for incoming daily fresh shipments and deliveries
  • Assist with addressing damaged, excess, or incorrect items.
  • Assist with organizing all fresh materials for production teams
  • Assist with fresh floral maintenance and cooler sanitation
  • Additional prep and cleaning duties
Qualifications:
  • Able to organize and work with a team
  • Collaborates and communicates easily
  • Extremely detail oriented and ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Level headed in high volume environments
  • Able to stand, walk, reach, climb, kneel, and crouch
  • Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Computer proficient
Preferred:
  • Floral variety knowledge highly preferred or willingness to learn
  • Spanish speaking a plus
