Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and creative Studio Assistant to join our dynamic team at Lucia Designs. The ideal candidate will support various studio projects, from floral preservation to resin art, contributing to the creation of elegant, lasting keepsakes. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about working with flowers and craftsmanship, looking to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, creative environment.

Duties

  • Answer customer emails, handle inquiries, provide order updates, and maintain excellent communication.
  • Work with fresh and dried flowers: paint, cut, arrange, and glue florals for artistic presentation.
  • Dry flowers using silica gel, managing moisture levels with care.
  • Assist in resin casting projects, including mixing, pouring, and monitoring cure cycles using food-safe resin.
  • Pack and ship delicate floral-resin pieces, lifting and moving items up to 25 lbs. Ensure secure, polished delivery.
  • Maintain flexible task management, thinking on your feet to adapt to daily needs and shifting priorities.
  • Pay great attention to detail, focusing on visual balance, precise placement, and color integrity.
  • Support general studio upkeep, including workspace organization, cleaning, supply inventory, and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Comfortable working with silica gel for flower drying.
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity in craft settings.
