Description:

Course Description: Architectural Design Studio 2 is a continuation of the required design studio courses in the Master of Architecture sequence, and continues the introduction of architectural design through a studio teaching setting. Architectural Design Studio 2 invites students to evaluate architecture's impact on context and how it takes shape through ordering context, site, and program.

Sessional dates of appointment:             January 1, 2027 - April 30, 2027

Salary:                    $9,997.47 (Sessional Lecturer I)

                                $10,699.21 (Sessional Lecturer I Long Term)

                                $10,699.21 (Sessional Lecturer II)

                                $10,953.96 (Sessional Lecturer II Long Term)

                                $10,953.96 (Sessional Lecturer III)

                                $11,228.90 (Sessional Lecturer III Long Term)

Minimum Qualifications: M.Arch degree or other Graduate degree in Architecture preferred. We are seeking applicants with a proven record of teaching foundation design studios at the M. Arch and/or B.A/B.Arch level. 

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of contemporary architectural pedagogy and the current state of the discipline, at both practical and theoretical levels, is highly desirable.

Duties: Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials, supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.
