To thrive as a Design Studio Assistant, you need a solid understanding of design principles, organization, and basic project management, often supported by a relevant degree or coursework in design or the arts. Design Studio Assistants often juggle multiple responsibilities such as organizing materials, supporting designers, and coordinating project timelines. One common challenge is managing competing priorities during periods of high workload or tight deadlines.
