As a Senior Architect - Design Review Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting Architecture and Engineering teams who deliver high-quality designs for technically challenging and rewarding projects.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of architectural and engineering design and engineering deliverables, including written reports (feasibility, BOD, concept) and construction drawings at each major deliverable milestone. Disciplines include, but are not limited to, Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, I amp;C, Automation, Electrical, Plumbing, Process Utilities, Fire Protection, and Process Engineering.
  • The QA review is intended to be a cross-functional discipline review to confirm that the project disciplines are coordinated, and the deliverable being reviewed meets Genesis quality standards for overall presentation and coherency.
  • Assist the Quality Manager with quality standards.
  • Attend Quality meetings with the Quality Control group.
  • Attend peer review meetings.
  • Attend meetings with AE project managers to discuss QA review findings and assist project managers with how to properly apply Genesis quality standards to projects.
YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of design and engineering experience with an understanding of architecture and engineering construction industry practices, preferably in Life Sciences Research amp; Development Laboratories and Manufacturing / Clean Room projects.
  • Strong analytical skills to review multi-disciplinary projects ranging from a few pages/drawings to several hundred pages/drawings.
  • Strong scheduling and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Bluebeam Studio.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Architecture preferred
  • Prior Quality Assurance experience is preferred.
This is a part-time position, 20-25 hours per week, and therefore eligible for benefits as other similarly situated employees.
This is an individual contributor role that will not have any direct reports.
