About the Team 

The General Assembly Operations team ensures world-class quality and efficiency in vehicle production at our Casa Grande manufacturing facility. We focus on achieving key metrics for safety, quality, delivery, and cost while driving process optimization and fostering collaboration across functions. 

About the Role 

The Operations Manager oversees daily production activities in General Assembly, leading a team of supervisors and ensuring operational excellence, safety, and quality. This role manages production flow, inventory, and resource planning while supporting continuous improvement to meet Lucid's exacting standards. 

What You Own 

  • Oversee day-to-day General Assembly operations, ensuring adherence to quality and productivity goals. 
  • Lead and develop a team of production supervisors, providing clear guidance, support, and performance feedback. 
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering to standardize and improve processes for efficiency and training accuracy. 
  • Manage resources including labor, equipment, and materials to maintain uninterrupted workflows. 
  • Enforce quality assurance protocols through regular inspections and issue resolution. 
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for parts and materials, balancing availability and cost control. 
  • Prepare and present operational reports, maintaining accurate records of production, training, and resource utilization. 

What You Bring 

Required Qualifications 

  • 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree 
  • 8 years of automotive manufacturing experience in a leadership role. 
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including coaching, conflict management, and team development. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership. 
  • Solid organizational and time management capabilities, including prioritization and multitasking. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  • Familiarity with smart devices and digital tools. 
  • Valid driver's license in good standing. 
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position, including understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and job-related communications. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in electric vehicle or premium automotive manufacturing environments. 
  • Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing background. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Standing and Walking:  Ability to stand and walk for 8-12 hours per shift on hard surfaces in a production environment. 
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands for handling tools, assembling components, and operating machinery. Requires fine motor skills and grip strength. 
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing 10-50 lbs. regularly; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs. with assistance. 
  • Reaching and Bending: Routine reaching above shoulders, bending, and twisting waist, and squatting as part of process and tasks. 
  • Repetitive Motions: Continuous arm, hand, and wrist movements for tasks such as fastening, positioning, and installing. 
  • Climbing: Occasional use of steps to access different height level areas. 
  • PPE Expectations: Must wear required PPE (safety shoes, gloves, protective sleeves, eye and hearing protection) as per company safety standards. 

Work Requirement 

Must be onsite at the Casa Grande, AZ manufacturing facility.
