    QES is seeking an experienced Lead Survey CAD Technician to play a pivotal role in transforming field survey data into accurate, high-quality technical drawings that support impactful infrastructure and land development projects. This position is ideal for a seasoned CAD professional who thrives on accuracy, collaboration, and mentoring others in a technically rigorous environment.

    About the Role

    As the Lead Survey CAD Technician, you will oversee the preparation of complex survey mapping deliverables while serving as a technical resource and mentor within the Surveying Department. Working closely with field crews, licensed surveyors, and project managers, you will ensure all drawings meet QES standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead the drafting and production of boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS land title, construction staking, and as-built surveys
    • Coordinate closely with field survey crews to accurately integrate collected data into CAD drawings
    • Review survey deliverables for technical accuracy, clarity, and completeness prior to submission
    • Maintain and enforce CAD standards, templates, layering, and file organization systems
    • Mentor and support junior CAD technicians, promoting best practices and technical excellence
    • Collaborate with project managers and surveyors to meet deadlines and resolve technical challenges
