JOB DESCRIPTION:
Are you a dynamic banking professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment? We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with one of our best banking clients to find a talented and versatile banking operations leader to join their Petaluma-area team!
This is a unique "Floater" role, perfect for an adaptable leader who loves variety, building relationships, and making a broad impact across multiple branch locations.
What You'll Do :
Regardless of your level, you will be the operational backbone across various branches, ensuring things run smoothly, securely, and with exceptional customer service.
  • Operational Excellence: Serve as the resident expert on operational standards. You will oversee branch documentation, ensure the Branch Certification package is flawless, maintain strict branch security (keys, combinations, cash limits), and handle daily operational reports (file maintenance, overdrafts, NSF exceptions).
  • Customer Experience Champion: Deliver highly personalized banking services. Whether you are stepping in to perform teller duties, opening new accounts, or resolving complex account disputes, you will handle every situation with tact, diplomacy, and a positive attitude.
  • Team Leadership: Schedule staff for optimal coverage, provide ongoing operational training, and cultivate a culture of professional development. You will actively coach staff on security procedures, sales, and top-tier customer service.
  • Community Impact: Make a difference in the local community by completing a minimum of 10 compensated CRA volunteer hours per year during standard business hours (with mileage reimbursed!).

Branch Operations Officer
Focus: Branch growth, business development, and expanded leadership.
  • Direct management and mentoring of up to 5 branch employees.
  • Actively lead the team in sales programs to generate targeted deposit growth. Work closely with the Branch Manager on prospecting, business development, and outside calling.
  • Motivate staff to hit profitability goals, handle full performance management duties, and independently manage all client matters when the Branch Manager is absent.
  • Approve large transactions for teller staff up to higher assigned limits and provide supervisor overrides.

What You Bring to the Table
We are looking for proven banking professionals who understand the nuances of retail banking operations.
  • Highly proficient in core banking programs, as well as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be willing and able to travel (float) to assist various branches as business needs dictate.
  • An active Notary Public commission is highly preferred!
