Job Summary
The Consumer Deposit Product Manager I is responsible for the planning, development, and management of KeyBank's Consumer Deposit products and related services. This role supports the execution of product strategies that align with the bank's goals, customer needs, and regulatory requirements. The Consumer Deposit Product Manager I collaborates across departments to ensure successful product delivery, performance, and compliance, while also contributing to marketing and vendor management efforts.
Essential Functions
  • Design and develop new products and services that address client needs and market opportunities.
  • Recommend pricing strategies and value propositions; influence product positioning and messaging.
  • Monitor market trends, customer behavior, and regulatory changes to inform product decisions.
  • Ensure all product offerings comply with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape to identify gaps, strengths, and opportunities.
  • Forecast product performance, track KPIs, and assess client experience impacts.
  • Collaborate with vendors and participate in contract negotiations as needed.
  • Partner with Marketing to support campaigns and measure effectiveness.
  • Lead or support business initiatives and projects, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
  • Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience (preferred)

Work Experience
  • 1+ years experience in financial services or related industry (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience in product development or product management (preferred)

Licenses and Certifications
  • No specific certifications required, but relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Product Manager, Agile Product Owner) (preferred)

  • A willingness and ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and market dynamics to stay relevant and effective
  • Managing and optimizing the bank's suite of products to ensure relevance, competitiveness, and value to customers.
  • Designing, testing, and launching new financial products and services that meet customer needs and align with business goals.
  • Applying knowledge of banking operations, financial principles, and market dynamics to make informed product decisions.
  • Prioritizing the needs and expectations of customers to guide product design, service enhancements, and overall experience.
  • Promoting awareness and proactive management of regulatory, operational, and reputational risks throughout the product lifecycle.
  • The ability to clearly convey ideas, requirements, and feedback across technical and non-technical teams is essential for aligning stakeholders and ensuring smooth execution
  • Managing competing demands and limited resources by identifying what delivers the most value to customers and the business
  • Working with marketing teams to develop product messaging, support campaigns, and measure promotional effectiveness

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $69,000.00 - $105,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
