This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

If you are motivated and have experience in customer service with excellent technical, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills, the Issuance Unit, in the Driver Licensing Branch, wants YOU to be their next Motor Vehicle Representative (MVR)!
Under the direction of an immediate supervisor, the incumbent performs tasks with a courteous and tactful approach to providing customer service. The incumbent interacts respectfully and effectively with supervisors, peers, internal and external stakeholders, and interprets and applies the provisions of the California Vehicle Code and other laws, administrative regulations, policies, and technical procedures via various communication methods.

The position(s) being advertised may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resources Branch. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire. The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Salaries are non-negotiable and are subject to the California Department of Human Resources salary rules. Salaries for part-time and/or intermittent appointments may vary. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.

The DMV is responsible for registering approximately 36 million vehicles in California, and serving 34 million driver license and identification card holders, collecting over $14 billion in annual revenue.
