Job description

Job Overview:
The Senior Manager of Marketing Strategy leads a team of marketers responsible for identifying and understanding Toyota Automated Logistics' target audiences in a variety of industry verticals and regions across the Americas. This role will work hand-in-hand with vertical solution directors, business development, corporate strategy and product management to build go-to-market strategies that directly support revenue growth and long-term business objectives. This role oversees sales enablement activities and solution marketing to ensure complete alignment between various sales groups and external messaging.
Acting as a strategic connector, researcher and strategist, this position ensures the organization is aligned around clear market priorities, differentiated positioning and actionable insights that inform go-to-market decisions.
This position will be based in our Carmel, IN (soon to be Noblesville, IN) headquarters. Candidates must be local to the Indianapolis, IN area. The position allows for 2 days work from home with the remaining 3 days in the headquarters location.
Job Functions:
Marketing & Go-To-Market Strategy
  • Develop and lead comprehensive marketing strategies that align with corporate objectives, sales priorities and growth initiatives across targeted markets and industries.
  • Partner with sales and other marketing leaders to translate business goals into clear, actionable go-to-market plans and demand generation campaigns.
  • Develop competitor reporting strategies to ensure Toyota Automated Logistics' global positioning is differentiated and customer focused.

Sales Enablement Oversight
  • Oversee the strategic direction of sales enablement efforts, ensuring sales teams are equipped with effective tools, messaging, and training to support the full sales cycle.
  • Ensure alignment between sales enablement assets, brand standards and product positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership to identify gaps, opportunities and evolving needs in the field.

Product Marketing Leadership
  • In conjunction with the product marketing lead and product management group, provide strategic oversight for product marketing initiatives, including solution positioning, messaging and launch strategies.
  • Ensure consistent, differentiated value propositions across products, solutions and vertical markets.
  • Partner with product, engineering and R&D stakeholders to translate technical capabilities into compelling market-facing narratives.

Vertical Market Strategy
  • Work closely with vertical solution directors to develop vertical market strategies, including audience segmentation, priority solutions and tailored messaging approaches.
  • Define market-specific value propositions and support targeted campaigns aligned to industry needs and growth potential.
  • Support long-term planning by identifying emerging vertical opportunities and shifts in customer demand.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership
  • Serve as a strategic partner to sales, business development, corporate strategy and product management.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and strategic direction to marketing team members, driving strong performance and a growth mindset.
  • Establish metrics and reporting to measure effectiveness and continuously improve performance.

Travel Requirements:
  • 10% travel

Required Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing strategy, product marketing, sales enablement or related roles.
  • Proven experience developing go-to-market strategies and translating insights into execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in competitor analysis, customer research and market segmentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and strategic storytelling skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
