Job description

Lasko Products, a market leader in home comfort products for over 100 years, is looking to add a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to our light manufacturing facility in Franklin, TN.  The Inventory Control Specialist will help us maintain efficient inventory management practices.

The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and implementing process improvements. This role is vital in maintaining inventory accuracy, reducing carrying costs, and supporting the company's overall production and distribution objectives.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Regularly monitor inventory levels, raw materials, and finished goods to ensure accurate records and timely replenishment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements related to inventory control and develop and implement solutions.
  • Work cross functionally with corporate purchasing, finance, and site purchasing managers
  • Work within the MRP system to ensure transactional processes are being followed
  • Lead and perform regular inventory reconciliations to identify discrepancies and implement correct actions
  • Audit plant material transactions, in addition to monitoring and auditing imported raw materials and finished goods
  • Determine and implement processes around material movement within the organization
  • Utilize historical data and demand forecasting techniques to optimize inventory levels and reorder points
  • Prepare and present regular reports on inventory performance, key metrics, and action plans to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in handling and storing inventory
  • Manage a team of 5 cycle counters

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of  experience in inventory management and control, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
