What are Delta Global Services?

Delta Global Services (DGS) was a company that provided aviation staffing and support services, primarily for airports and airlines. Their staff handled roles such as baggage handling, customer service, security, and ramp operations. DGS employees were often contracted by Delta Air Lines and other carriers to ensure smooth airport and ground operations. In 2018, Delta sold DGS to Argenbright Holdings, and it now operates under the name Unifi. Despite the change, the core services and job functions remain focused on supporting the aviation industry.

To thrive as a Delta Global Services agent, you need strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with airline reservation systems, baggage handling equipment, and safety protocols is important for daily operations. Outstanding communication, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to remain calm under pressure make agents stand out in this fast-paced environment. These skills are crucial for ensuring smooth airport operations, passenger satisfaction, and adherence to safety and security standards.

What can I expect from the team structure and collaboration at Delta Global Services?

At Delta Global Services, employees typically work within a collaborative, team-oriented environment that supports the airline and aviation industry. Teams are often cross-functional, including roles in customer service, operations, and technical support, and there is frequent interaction with both internal colleagues and external partners such as airport staff and airline clients. Regular communication and teamwork are essential, and employees are encouraged to share insights and support each other to ensure smooth operations. This collaborative structure also provides opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues and advance within the company.
