Job description

Title - TCL Backend Developer
Plano, Texas (onsite)
Experience - 5 to 7 years
Job Description:
  • We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer with strong to expert-level expertise in the TCL programming language to support application security remediation and platform modernization initiatives. The primary focus of this role will be remediation of dynamic code analysis findings across TCL-based assets, ensuring secure and compliant operation of existing systems.
  • The candidate must have strong working knowledge of the Nix package manager to support consistent, reproducible build and runtime environments. In addition to remediation activities, this engineer will play a key role in supporting a potential cyber-driven migration off TCL within a defined timeframe, anticipating limitations in static analysis tooling (e.g., TCL not supported by Checkmarx).
  • This role requires a hands-on engineer who can work independently, analyze legacy backend code, implement secure fixes, and contribute to planning and execution of technology migration efforts. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in security-focused initiatives, understands application risk, and can collaborate with engineering and security teams to reduce exposure while maintaining system stability.
