Job description

Non-Dot Route Delivery Driver

Cottonwood is seeking a reliable and motivated non-CDL route delivery driver to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for delivering products safely and efficiently to designated retail locations. No CDL is required-just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to safely load, transport, and deliver convenience store (C-store) products to retail locations according to the delivery schedule.
  • Verify delivery details and ensure all products are delivered in the correct quantity and condition.
  • Unloads product from the truck using a 2-wheeler and/or pallet jack.
  • Delivers and stages product in store based on customer's specific needs.
  • Checks in tobacco products with customers.
  • Accounts for missing products through accurate recording on invoicing and issuing memos as needed.
  • Properly transports returned products to the main warehouse, i.e., tobacco, and checks returns in with warehouse staff.
  • Collects and returns empty totes and crates to the warehouse at the end of each day.
  • Picks up and discards any shrink wrap and disposes of using dumpsters only to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Comply with safety protocols, including monitoring by an onboard camera system.
  • Provides excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • The driver is responsible for pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the daily maintenance of their assigned vehicle.
  • Works closely with each customer's management team to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
  • Will be subject to MVR monitoring.
  • Safety-sensitive position.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Minimum of two years of safe driving experience required.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Current DOT medical card required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to work in multiple temperature environments, including general warehouse areas and customer stores where refrigerated delivery areas exist.
  • Ability to work in varied weather conditions.
  • Ability to handle deadlines and interruptions in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong math skills are required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English is required for communication, reading, and writing.
Schedule:
  • Must be available for a standard four-day, 10-hour shift within the Monday-Friday workweek.
  • Must be able to start at 4:00 a.m. and work until all deliveries are completed.
  • Must be willing to work occasional overnight shifts as needed.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent sitting, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 pounds).
  • Working in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Exposure to environmental factors such as noise, odors, and moving parts.
