Position OverviewThe Assistant Department Deli Manager assists and supports the Deli Manager's responsibility for the the direction and supervision of all functions and activities of Deli Department personnel to achieve the sales and profit goals established for the department. This is to ensure that the work shifts of personnel contribute to the financial best interests of the store. The Assistant Department Deli Manager will fill in when the Deli Manager is not there.Job Description

Description

  • Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Deli operations, safety, and sanitation
  • Is supportive in achieving financial goals such as sales and gross profit maximization, as well as the minimization of shrinkage and supply expense
  • Take customer orders accurately for prepared foods and other specialty Deli products
  • Assist in the weekly orders in accordance with store policy to ensure adequate supply levels
  • Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of the product
  • Maintain and enforce a clean work environment to ensure sanitary conditions
  • Is supportive of the necessary paperwork relating to the Deli Department
  • Can be part of the selection, training, development, and scheduling of Deli associates
  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
  • Travel Required:No
