Host / Hostess

Seasonal Hourly – Estimated pay range: $17.75–$18, based on qualifications and experience
Must be 18 years or older

Position Summary

The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for customers, creating a warm, welcoming, and efficient shopping experience. You’ll assist customers with product questions, recommendations, and service bar orders across departments such as Bakery, BBQ, Coffee, Deli, Demo, Fish, Ice Cream, Meat, and Produce.

What You’ll Do

Customer Experience

  • Greet every customer with a friendly smile and positive attitude
  • Answer questions and provide product recommendations
  • Ensure customers receive accurate weighing, pricing, and packaging at service bars

Operations & Merchandising

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • Assist other team members and departments as needed
  • Verify all products are properly labeled with the correct item and production date for customer safety

Team Support

  • Help create a smooth, efficient workflow across service areas
  • Communicate effectively with team members and department leaders

Qualifications

  • Entry-level position: no prior experience required (training provided)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to safely use tools and equipment required for the role
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays
