Job description

Boston Brine and Smoke, an affiliated company of William & Co. Foods is seeking for an experienced and hands-on Operational Manager to oversee our busy wholesale smokehouse operation. We specialize in producing premium corned beef and smoked meat products for customers throughout the region.

This is a key leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and wants to play an integral role in a growing business. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, maintain our high quality standards, and help drive continued growth and efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Quality & Production

  • Ensure all products are prepared, smoked, and packaged to the highest quality standards.
  • Monitor production processes to maintain consistency, food safety, and product excellence.

Operations Management

  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and supplier relationships.
  • Track food and labor costs while helping maintain operational budgets.
  • Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company procedures.
  • HACCP knowledge is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Customer Service

  • Help ensure customers receive exceptional products and responsive service.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a restaurant, smokehouse, food production facility, or related operation.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Knowledge
