Job Summary
The Deli Dishwasher is responsible for delivering "best in class" customer service to all guests at the Deli counter and on the sales floor. The Deli Dishwasher is the "backbone" of the Deli Department. The main responsibility of the Deli Dishwasher is to wash all dishes and utensils used by the Deli and Bakery Departments and ensure the Deli Department is clean, sanitary and organized.

Work Experience
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Serve customers in the Deli Department while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
  • Wash, sanitize, dry and put away all dishes and utensils
  • Empty and load the dishwasher
  • Clean equipment including, but not limited to, the dishwasher, Grind 2 Energy, machine and deli slicers
  • Clean Deli Department including, but not limited to, counter tops, floors, hot/cold bar and deli cases
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Deli Department
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Assist with all other Deli Department duties as needed

Qualifications
  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age due to required operation of Deli equipment
  • Eagerness to interact with customers
  • Strong sense of team - ability to anticipate the needs of the team
  • Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities,
  • under general supervision
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
