Position Summary:

The Assistant Deli Manager supports the Deli Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the deli department. This includes supervising staff, managing inventory, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards. The Assistant Deli Manager helps ensure the department runs efficiently and meets both customer satisfaction and business goals.

General Purpose:

To assist in managing the deli department's operations, including food preparation, product presentation, inventory management, and staff supervision. The Assistant Deli Manager will work closely with the Deli Manager to ensure the department runs smoothly and provides high-quality products and services to customers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Deli Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the deli department.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate deli staff to provide excellent customer service and meet performance expectations.
  • Assist in scheduling shifts and ensuring adequate staffing levels for efficient department operation.
  • Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering products as needed to ensure the department is stocked with fresh, high-quality items.
  • Monitor and uphold food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation of deli meats, cheeses, salads, and other deli items, ensuring they meet quality standards.
