Job description

Position                      FULL TIME CLERK I 
 

Department               BAKE-OFF/DELI

Location                    Assiniboia Food Store

Responsibilities       
1. Provide customer service to the Customer Care standards.
2. Bake, decorate, display, package and label all bakery & deli products
3. Clean and Sanitize bakery and deli equipment, display units and prep areas.     
4. Operate the bread slicer, deli slicer, scale/printer, chicken BBQ, gas oven, proofer and donut robot equipment
5. Take phone orders and process them accurately and efficiently
6. Assist in daily housekeeping duties 
7. Be alert to the unauthorized removal of merchandise and alert the supervisor of any occurrence 
8. Assist with the unloading and receiving of freight as assigned 
9. Assist with inventory counts as assigned 
10. Other duties as assigned            

Requirements                       

  1. Able to work a variety of shifts.
  2. A pleasant and out-going personality.
  3. A desire and ability to work with the public.
  4. Physically able to do heavy lifting.
  5. Successfully pass pre-employment testing as per Southland's Alcohol & Substance Policy
