Insights & Analytics
ZS's Insights & Analytics group partners with clients to design and deliver solutions to help them tackle a broad range of business challenges. Our teams work on multiple projects simultaneously, leveraging advanced data analytics and problem-solving techniques. Our recommendations and solutions are based on rigorous research and analysis underpinned by deep expertise and thought leadership.
What You'll Do
  • Apply advanced analytics and data-driven problem-solving to address key business challenges within the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry.
  • Develop and apply advanced statistical models that help clients understand dynamic business issues.
  • Leverage analytic techniques to guide client and ZS team decision-making using data-driven insights.
  • Design custom analyses in R, Tableau, SAS, Visual Basic, Excel, and other analytical tools to investigate and address client needs.
  • Partner with senior client stakeholders to translate business questions into actionable analytical solutions and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead end-to-end project execution, including project planning, workstream management, stakeholder communication, and delivery of high-impact client engagements.
  • Leverage emerging AI and machine learning capabilities to enhance analysis, improve decision-making, and drive innovative client solutions.
  • Synthesize findings and present insights and recommendations to senior client leaders and cross-functional stakeholders through compelling oral and written communications.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, serving as a key point of contact throughout project engagements.
  • Provide regular project status updates and manage deliverables to ensure successful outcomes for clients and ZS teams.
  • Create impactful project deliverables and support the implementation of client solutions.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's or master's degree required in any discipline with strong record of academic success in quantitative and analytic coursework such as operations research, applied mathematics, management science, data science, statistics, econometrics or engineering.
  • 2-4 years of relevant post-collegiate job experience. A PhD may substitute in lieu of work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, consulting, or related quantitative roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industries.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical commercial analytics, including areas such as forecasting, patient analytics, market access, sales analytics, customer analytics, or real-world data applications.
  • Experience leading projects and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and executive-level audiences.
  • Experience applying AI, machine learning, generative AI, predictive analytics, or advanced analytical techniques to solve business problems within the last three years.
  • Prior experience mentoring, coaching, or leading junior team members on project teams.
  • Strong proficiency with analytical and visualization tools such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, SAS, or similar technologies.
