An ideal person will come with strong domain expertise in Capital Markets to work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and data teams to deliver high-impact solutions across trading, risk, and post-trade functions. The role involves translating business needs into functional requirements, supporting data and technology initiatives, and driving transformation programs across global markets businesses.


Responsibilities Include

  • Partner with front-office, middle-office, and operations teams across capital markets (equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX).
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and use cases.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement walkthroughs.
  • Drive deep insights and analysis, beyond the obvious, to add business value
  • Adhere to delivery, quality metrics and internal governance
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • This role will require working on multiple engagements in parallelย 

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets or Investment Banking.
  • Strong understanding of one or more asset classes
    • Equities
    • Fixed Income
    • Derivatives
    • FX
  • Good understanding of trade lifecycle and capital markets operations.
  • Experience with requirement documentation and stakeholder management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python and R to any data analysis tools preferred.
  • Experience working with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
    Highly analytical with the ability to collate, analyze and present data and drive clear and actionable insights
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize conflicting requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Capital Markets Domain Support
  • Work on initiatives across:
    • Trade lifecycle (order execution clearing settlement)
    • Risk & PnL reporting
    • Regulatory reporting (MiFID, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, etc.)
    • Client onboarding, KYC, collateral, and margin
    • Market and reference data
  • Support front-office analytics, trading workflows, and reporting needs.
Data & Technology
  • Collaborate with data engineering and technology teams on:
    • Data mapping, lineage, and reconciliation
    • Source-to-target mapping
    • Data quality and validation
  • Support data-driven initiatives such as dashboards, analytics, and AI/ML use cases.
  • Work with tools such as SQL, Excel, Python (nice to have), JIRA, Confluence.
Delivery & Execution
  • Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support UAT planning, test case creation, and defect tracking.
  • Track project milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Work in Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery models.
Preferred / Nice to Have
  • Experience with market data platforms (Bloomberg, Refinitiv).
  • Knowledge of risk systems, PnL, or regulatory reporting.
  • Exposure to data/AI initiatives in capital markets.
  • Agile certifications or prior consulting experience.
