The Royal Caribbean Group Marine Operations team has an exciting career opportunity for a full Analyst, Decarbonization Program Management reporting to the Senior Director, Decarbonization Strategy.ย 

Position Overviewย ย ย 

The Analyst, Low Carbon Fuels supports Royal Caribbean Group's efforts to evaluate, track, and expand the use of low-carbon fuels across the global fleet as part of the company's Destination Net Zero strategy. The successful candidate will combine analytical rigor with strong data management skills to help quantify performance,ย identifyย opportunities, and ensure alignment between decarbonization targets, sourcing decisions, and regulatory compliance.ย ย 

This role bridges fuel market analytics with operational performance tracking,ย providingย essential insights that guide procurement, budgeting, and carbon compliance planning.ย ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesย 

Data Tracking & Analysisย 

  • Collect,ย validate, and analyze operational energy, emissions, and fuel consumption data across the fleet.ย 
  • Maintain dashboards, databases, and models to monitor decarbonization performance and low-carbon fuel usage.ย 
  • Quantify emissions reductions from decarbonization levers and track progress toward corporate targets.ย 
  • Support development of KPIs, compliance metrics, and performance reports for EU ETS,ย FuelEUย Maritime, IMO, and internal governance.ย 
  • Assistย in developing clear decarbonization narratives and supporting materials for leadership and cross-functional workshops, translating data into strategic insights.ย 

Program Coordination & Project Managementย 

  • Assistย in preparing program documentation, trackers, and meeting summaries.ย 
  • Coordinate cross-functional deliverables with Marine Operations, Newbuild, Fuel Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Brand, and Corporate Strategy.ย 
  • Track timelines, dependencies, and milestones for decarbonization projects, deliverables, and initiatives.ย 
  • Develop foundational project management skills including stakeholder mapping, risk tracking, and milestone planning.ย 

Deployment & Operational Planningย 

  • Partner with itinerary planning teams to integrate decarbonization considerations into deployment decisions.ย 
  • Analyze fuel consumption, emissions profiles, and energy efficiency implications across voyage scenarios.ย 
  • Support modeling of trade-offs between commercial itineraries, regulatory requirements, and corporate targets.ย 
  • Assistย in evaluating broader decarbonization levers beyond fuels, including energy optimization, electrification, and renewable integration.ย 

Market, Pathway & Regulatory Analysisย 

  • Researchย emergingย low-carbon fuel markets (biofuels, LNG, methanol, e-fuels) and track price trends, carbon intensity values, and certification standards.ย 
  • Maintain a global supplier database and benchmark industry peers on fuel adoption and decarbonization progress.ย 
  • Analyze regulatory changes and provide recommendations on operational or strategic adjustments toย maintainย compliance and competitiveness.ย 
  • Provide insights to support strategic sourcing and partnership evaluationsย 

Stakeholder Engagement & Communicationย 

  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing program status, lever progress, andย compliance withย readiness.ย 
  • Translate complex technical and financial data into clear insights for leadership and governance committees.ย 
  • Support stakeholder engagement through preparation of workshop materials, alignment decks, and participation in internal and external forums.ย 
  • Contribute to cross-functional storytelling that aligns data with business strategy and enterprise decarbonization goals.ย

Qualifications and Educationย 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Economics, Business, or Sustainability (Master'sย preferred).ย 
  • 1-3 years of experience in maritime operations, energy, program management, or management consulting.ย 
  • Strongย proficiencyย in Excel modeling and PowerPoint. Experienceย with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools preferred.ย 
  • Ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights and narratives.ย 
  • Familiarity with GHG accounting, carbon intensity metrics, and biofuel certification schemes (ISCC, RSB)ย areย advantageous.ย 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills withย the abilityย to engage cross-functional teams.ย 
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities, take ownership, and contribute ideas that challenge the status quo.ย 
  • Highly organized, analytical, and motivated to learn about maritime decarbonization and energy transition.ย 
  • Opportunity to buildย expertiseย in maritime decarbonization, regulatory compliance, and project management with potential progression into program management roles.ย 

Financial / Quantitative Responsibilitiesย 

  • Support modeling ofย OpEx,ย CapEx, and abatement cost implications ($/tCOe).ย 
  • Track fuel costs, volumes, and emissions performance versus plan.ย 
  • Assistย in preparing financial summaries and compliance exposure forecasts.ย 

Internal / External Relationshipsย 

  • Collaborates with Decarbonization Program Management, Fuel Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, and Fleet Operations.ย 
  • Coordinates with external suppliers,ย certifyingย bodies, and consultants for data validation and compliance.ย 
  • Supports internal alignment workshops andย participatesย in external industry forums and working groups.ย
