Job description

Environmental Specialist / Environmental Engineer

Insight Global is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives for a leading manufacturing client. This role will assist with air, water, waste, recycling, spill prevention, radiation monitoring, and permitting programs while ensuring compliance with federal and state environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support environmental compliance programs related to air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, recycling, and spill prevention.
  • Assist with environmental permitting, reporting, and recordkeeping, including Title V, RCRA, SARA, EMITS, and NSPS requirements.
  • Help drive sustainability and decarbonization initiatives across the facility.
  • Work with regulatory agencies, consultants, and internal teams to maintain environmental compliance.
  • Provide environmental training and guidance to employees.
  • Support radiation detection systems and incoming scrap inspections.
  • Assist with implementation of continuous improvement and environmental management programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Environmental Health.
  • 0โ€“5 years of environmental experience, preferably in manufacturing or regulatory environments.
  • Strong Excel, data analysis, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations including CAA, CWA, RCRA, and SARA is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
