Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day
This position is the Product Manager and Head of Projects for the SGT-A05 business. This position supports the new equipment and services business for the 3-6MW Power Generation and Oil & Gas sectors. This role leads and coordinates a team of project engineers, product definers, and configuration management specialists. Additional responsibilities include managing the overall Engineering Operations and Research & Development program budgets along with maintaining the SGT-A05 product roadmap outlining the investments required to meet current and future customer needs. The SGT-A05 engine business is located in Indianapolis, IN and reports through the Aero-derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) product line within the Gas Services division.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Manage the annual engineering budget for Research & Development as well as Project Agreements (Operations Support, Supply Chain / Cost Reduction, and Reliability)
  • Drive the resource balancing process to ensure headcount meets the needs of the business
  • Manage planning and execution of development and certification/qualification programs using the Product Development Process (PDP)
  • Chair internal PDP Gates and Reviews
  • Manage engine configuration control
  • Provide strategic vision for technology insertion, engine growth, and reduced engine production/operating costs

What You Bring
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, master's degree in engineering or business preferred
  • Project Management Professional certification
  • Experience managing projects using Earned Value Analysis
  • 10+ years of experience with gas turbine engines
  • Previous management of personnel
  • Travel up to 25%
