Reports To: Production Supervisor
1. Position Overview (Scope and Application)
The Deburr Operator position is responsible for operating deburring equipment and ensuring that materials meet quality standards. This role supports efficient production operations by maintaining equipment, monitoring product quality, and assisting with material handling as needed.
The duties listed below represent primary job responsibilities; additional tasks may be assigned to support overall department efficiency.
2. Qualifications
  • Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to stand, bend, pull, push, and reach throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Basic mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Strong attention to detail

3. Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate the Auto Deburr machine
  • Communicate with the Saw Operator regarding defective burrs and blade change requirements
  • Measure and verify product dimensions using:
    • Rulers
    • Tape measures
    • Micrometers
    • Vernier calipers
    • Plug gauges
  • Follow instructions and guidance from the Section Leader and Production Supervisor to meet production goals and on-time delivery
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials within the work area
  • Seek direction from the Production Supervisor or Section Leader during downtime or maintenance periods
  • Accurately complete shift production records
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment

4. Physical Requirements
  • Continuous standing and movement during shift
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds

5. Work Environment
  • Manufacturing/warehouse setting
  • Exposure to machinery, noise, and production equipment
  • Must follow all safety procedures and use required PPE

6. Additional Expectations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all company policies and safety regulations
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors
