As a Lead Consultant, you will be contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in life insurance process consulting; you will define the problem, propose and create the solution. You will possess strong knowledge of life insurance and annuity products. You will work closely with actuaries, business/test analysts, and software engineers to analyze, resolve, and provide expert advice on calculations as they pertain to U.S. compliance. You will guide teams on project processes and deliverables, contribute to proposal development, client training, and internal capability building, and help define project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively by telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather requirements, create requirements specification documents, and obtain client signoffs
  • Proactively contribute to all associated project workstreams, ensuring appropriate knowledge sharing and information exchange to drive successful project outcomes. This includes, but is not limited to, 7702, 7702A, and 101(f) related calculations
  • Analyze and resolve life insurance and annuity policy values, compliance value calculations, and investigate mismatches to identify and resolve differences
  • Prioritize production issues and track them through resolution with project team members
  • Independently lead business meetings with stakeholders for prioritization, work intake, business reviews, and regular updates on work items
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Risk Management Sciences, or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution
  • At least 10-12 years of relevant experience as described below
Preferred Qualifications
  • Must have completed LOMA certification
  • Must have experience in the U.S. Insurance domain with Life Insurance or Annuity products
  • Should have experience in new product launch/implementation and/or conversion and migration projects
  • Should have experience with at least one Policy Administration System (Vantage, Ingenium, OIPA, IPAS, ALIP, or EXIGEN) and exposure to external interfacing systems
  • Should be well-versed in annuity product types, annuity-specific riders, contract lifecycle processes, and annuity payout options
  • Nice to have experience with compliance and taxation rules and their impact on policy servicing
  • Should be well-versed in Requirements Management, Requirements Gathering tools and techniques, and Use Case development
  • Experience in life insurance/annuity new business and conversion projects is preferred
  • Nice to have knowledge of life insurance terminology and calculations for life products, including cash value, death benefits, and compliance values such as TAMRA Premium, CVAT, and GPT values
  • Strong experience working with client actuaries to define requirements and translate them into designs and specifications for software engineering teams
  • Experience working with nearshore and offshore delivery teams
