Job description

We are looking to add Automotive Lube Technicians who are smart, capable and passionate about the work that they do. At Wasatch Front Kia, you will get the training, teamwork and resources you need to become the best technician you can be.

Here's what you'll be doing: 

Perform the work on each repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership, state and factory standards. 

Address the customer's maintenance needs, light repair, and quality control to attain Fixed First Visit expectations. 

Perform the Electronic Multi Point Inspection on every vehicle. 

Perform an on the rack alignment inspection and complete an alignment if necessary.  

Notify the Service advisor team immediately if the car has more/fewer problems than initial quote and of any adjustments to completion time. 

Master our Dealer Management System (Dealertrack) for time keeping, work distribution, electronic inspections, repair quotes and communication. 

Master our MPI system for quoting and vehicle inspections. 

Keep your work space in ship shape and can account for all dealership-owned tools at all times and assist in keeping the shop tidy.

Complete all assigned factory-sponsored training classes. 

Learn and maintain knowledge of all brand/factory technical bulletins and recalls. 

Understand federal, state and local regulations. 

Obtain Weber-Morgan Emissions certificate. 

Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Requirements: 

Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information whether electronic or paper-based. 

General mechanical skills, previous automotive work a plus. 

Excellent dexterity skills as well as patience, creativity, good judgment and an eye for detail. 

Valid in-state driver's license. 

Must have own tools and tool box or be willing to quickly acquire them.

Pay:

Starts at $17/hr plus commission bonus. Pay is negotiable depending on experience, training & certifications.
