Job description

About us:

Viamontech, Inc. provides IT solutions through outstanding service to franchise dealerships across the country. We focus on Help Desk, cyber-security, email hosting, domain hosting, remote support, field technician assistance, IT project management, Consulting, etc.

Duties: 

Visiting clients in Santa Clara County and surrounding areas, deploying hardware on client sites, providing customer support, hardware configuration, troubleshooting, ticket creation/progress updates, assisting in documenting, talking to users on-site and recommending day-to-day fixes to end-users.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Providing great customer service and technical support to customers on-site. This means Driving to client sites to resolve their issues to their satisfaction.
  • Troubleshooting Hardware; PC's, servers, WIFI and Networking equipment, etc.
  • Handling and moving equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate with our Help Desk and support technicians to resolve client issues.
  • Updating Tickets and projects in the ticketing system.
  • Monitor assigned tickets, and keep team and clients informed.
  • Other on-site support as needed

Technical Qualifications

Working Knowledge of: Windows Operating Systems, Desktop Troubleshooting, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Servers, General software installation and troubleshooting, DMS setup and troubleshooting, Cabling, Printers and print servers, fax, Office 365 - Exchange and Apps, VPN, Cisco, Networking, Wireless, Remote Monitoring and Management software, Web Filtering

Experience

Min 3 years as a Field Tech, On-site technician, or at IT Help Desk .

Preferred, but not required:

  • Knowledge of Dealer Management Systems like CDK, Dealertrack, Reynolds & Reynolds.
  • Other common auto dealership software
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields
  • Microsoft certifications
  • Cisco Certifications
