Position Summary

The Supervisor, DC Operations will report to the Manager of DC Operations. The DC Operations Supervisor is the front line connection with warehouse employees and plays a critical role in engaging and inspiring their team to meet and exceed daily targets. The DC Operations Supervisor drives daily work execution and monitors work performance. Under the leadership of the Operations Manager, the DC Operations Supervisor will drive an engaged, productive team through strong leadership, demonstrating initiative, and leveraging continuous improvement thinking. The supervisor is responsible for supporting the Operations Manager in the total leadership and operations.

**This is a 2nd shift role, 2:30pm-11:30pm, Monday-Friday with flexibility as needed.**

Operational Execution
  • Oversee daily operations in a warehouse section.

  • Utilize various reports, summaries, and procedures as necessary to resolve problems in order to improve employee efficiency and warehouse operations.

  • Analyze reports and make recommendations to the operations manager on best practices for the section.

  • Assign colleagues to work areas within the warehouse to achieve a balanced workload and meet daily operational metrics.

  • Confer daily with Operations Manager to identify and balance departmental staffing needs and prioritize assignments.

  • Continuous reviews of established daily tasks and able to reprioritize assignments to meet operational success.

  • Respond timely to emails from corporate partners, leadership, and peers.

  • Conduct audits of colleague work and provide documented results.

  • Keep appropriate records of operational reports and databases.

  • Navigate ambiguity and change to achieve goals despite potential obstacles.

  • Provide regular updates to leadership on daily/weekly department progress and goals.

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and federal and state laws.

  • Support Operations Manager as needed to ensure operational effectiveness.

The Colleague Experience
  • Ensure appropriate floor presence, engaging with colleagues to stay abreast of feedback and concerns, while validating execution of critical action items.

  • Effectively communicate information to team members in an open and timely manner.

  • Champion an "always on" engagement mindset within team, action planning and revisiting progress on engagement plans throughout the year.

  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to colleagues, including taking disciplinary actions when needed.

  • Work with Advice & Counsel on job abandonments, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

  • Drive an inclusive culture and diverse workforce at all levels of the DC. Take ownership for talent management processes to grow, develop, and retain talent. Ensure a best-in-class training experience for all DC colleagues, providing the

  • opportunity for colleagues to be successful. Partner with training and HR resources to enhance training and talent outcomes. Identify high potential talent and work closely on development plans, partnering with peers and Manager as needed.

  • Engage and inspire colleagues by building relationships and removing obstacles to their performance. Leverage engagement survey feedback and regular colleague feedback to improve colleague engagement.

  • Maintain attendance and performance records of colleagues.

  • Ensure all applicable state and federal regulations are followed including (but not limited to), FMLA, ADA, state protected sick time laws, EEOC, etc.

  • Conduct interviews using structured interview questions and processes and make decisions on hiring new colleagues.

  • Continually monitor staffing needs by measuring absenteeism, LOAs, turnover, and more, making recommendations to manager for headcount needs.

  • Oversee the training and development of new and existing colleagues in their section.

  • Ensure on-the-job safety of all colleagues.

Continuous Improvement & Change Management
  • Fully embrace organizational improvement initiatives, acting as a change agent with one's own team and peers.

  • Leverage a results-oriented mindset, using metrics to monitor improvements.

  • Continuously look for opportunities both in own department and the whole DC to drive efficiency and the colleague experience. Make recommendations to leadership, as appropriate.

  • Provide constructive and positive feedback on new initiatives to appropriate teams. Look for ways to break through implementation barriers rather than be impeded by them.

  • Drive change openness in self and team.

  • Gather regular feedback from colleagues on possible future changes for improvement and current processes.


Required Qualifications
  • 1+ year experience with Microsoft Office

  • 1+ year experience in a distribution center or similar environment

  • 1+ year experience in a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work multiple shifts or departments

  • Ability to maintain strict level of confidentiality

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely

  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to act quickly and competently in emergencies.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $93,574.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
