Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION
DBL Law is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal for Excel Title in Kettering, OH. The person in this position will provide support for the residential Real Estate group, and for the Commercial Group as needed. This position offers a competitive salary, good benefits, and positive working environment.
JOB DUTIES
  • Assist with the completion of real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements, reviewing title reports, assembling, preparing, and reviewing closing documents, and disbursing funds.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of closing documents and closing reports checking for completeness and accuracy and obtaining signatures.
  • Assist with the preparation of HUD/Settlement Statement/CD by utilizing lender instructions.
  • Respond to inquiries from all persons involved in a real estate transaction in a timely and professional manner including lenders, agents, buyers, and sellers.
  • Record important dates and maintain files.
  • Coordinate closings with all parties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • 1-2 years of experience in a real estate title company or law firm minimum.
  • Knowledge of RESPA, title insurance, and residential or commercial real estate title matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to work independently andย manage multiple projects with short deadlines.
  • Willingness to work on a team in a dynamic environment.
