Job description

2nd Shift, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, Monday-Friday

Typical starting pay, $41.00/hr.-$44.00/hr., plus $2.25 shift differential

CNC Tube Fabricator at The Toro Company:

To adjust and operate CNC machines in the CNC tube fabrication cell, which could include lasers, and tube benders.

What Will You Do?

  • Run CNC tube bending equipment.

  • Properly utilize and operate appropriate material handling equipment.

  • Operate any auxiliary machines as assigned.

  • Responsible for own set-ups and inspection of parts produced.

  • Producing parts made to print and process specifications.

  • Responsible for all safety rules, operator preventive maintenance, producing quality workmanship, and for good housekeeping in and around the work area.

  • Completion of all associated paperwork and record keeping as required.

What Do You Need?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 3+ years of experience in tube fabrication/bending preferred.

  • Experience in using a variety of Windows software on a computer, must be able to demonstrate this ability.

  • Experience or demonstrated abilities in basic machining, laser cutting, and CNC turning.

  • Core skills training in basic shop math, measuring tools and blueprint reading or demonstrated equivalent knowledge is required.

Work Environment:

  • Physical demands for this job can range from light to very heavy.This position requires an employee to frequently lift from 5 to 40 pounds during the course of a shift.On a rare basis weights may be over 60 lbs.

  • The employee may be subject to above average noise levels and occasional smoke or fumes on an infrequent basis.

  • Lasers present unique safety hazards which may or may not be visible.Safety rules must be understood and strictly adhered to.

  • Other work hazards associated with this position would be those normally found in a machine shop or factory setting.Should an injury occur, the most likely type of injuries would be cuts or pinched fingers, bruises, crushed hand or foot or potential burns to eyes.
