Job description

PDL Prototype Machinist - The Toro Company

Schedule:Day Shift | Straight 8-hour Shift | Monday - Friday | Flexible Start Times | No Mandatory Overtime

Starting Pay: $40.00- $43.72per hour, based on experience.

(Opportunity to achieve PDL Prototype Machinist Journeyworker classificationup to $51per hour& credentials from the state of MN)

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and 3D printers.

  • Turn concepts, sketches, and blueprints into real prototype parts.

  • Design custom work holdingfixturesusing Gibbs CAM software.

  • Perform your own setups, inspections, and machine adjustments.

  • Troubleshoot machining challenges and help develop new products.

  • Maintain equipment and keep a safe, organized workspace.

    What Do You Need?

    To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • 4+ years of CNC Machining and Programming.

    • Positive, Can-Do Attitude.

    • Experience with CNC programming, manual machining, blueprint reading, work holding, and precision measuring tools.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Must be capable of using advanced mathematics, geometry, tables, and handbook formulas.

        Preferred Qualifications:

        • Gibbs Cam experience.

        • CREO Cad software experience.

        • 5 Axis Milling experience.

        • 5 Axis Turning experience.

        • Associates degree in CNC machining or related vocation.
