About the "Department"
  • Same-day or outpatient surgery offers a convenient, lower-cost option for patients undergoing minor surgery or surgeries that do not require and overnight stay. All outpatient surgeries are performed in a state-of-the-art facility by a staff of highly trained physicians, surgeons, nurses and other medical professionals.

About The Career:
  • Responsible for scheduling cases for Same Day Surgery. Enters patient billable charges into the charge master. Reconciles and verifies patient charges for all cases. Collects and organizes daily schedules. Collects, prints and distributes monthly reports. Collaborates with doctors/office personnel to acquire accurate information for scheduling of cases and needed equipment. Enters SDS schedule into Meditech. Prints schedule sheets and delivers to admissions. Reports block releases to Director. Secretarial duties as assigned.

All About You:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Training & Experience: Minimum of 2 years secretarial experience. Medical terminology and computer knowledge required.
  • Successful completion of BLS certification.
  • Job Knowledge: Encompass a wide range of secretarial, computer and medical information, which includes communication, problem solving and prioritizing skills.
