Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides specialized technical expertise in the administration and support of database management technologies.
  • Analyzes user requirements and recommends appropriate DBMS products and solutions.
  • Develops and maintains database organization standards, indexing frameworks, and access security measures.
  • Implements and oversees backup, recovery, and data protection strategies to ensure the reliability, integrity, and recoverability of database systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in database systems analysis, development, and programming.
  • Proficient in the application of current database technologies and database-driven application design across multiple DBMS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of database system internals, architecture, and operational processes.
  • Capable of serving as a technical expert in the deployment, support, and utilization of database management systems.
  • Skilled in evaluating and recommending database products and solutions that align with validated business and user needs.

Clearance

  • Secret – IT-II (T3).

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00.  The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.  The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
