Overview
BlueWater Federal is looking for an Oracle DBA to support Dept of the Navy at the Pentagon
Responsibilities
  • Provide database administration and maintenance for current and future systems as requested.
  • Provide database administration (DBA) support for Oracle and Microsoft SQL database management systems and applications.
  • Support ad hoc trouble tickets that do not require a lifecycle development approach including troubleshooting portal sites and user accounts, making modifications to an existing portal site, and managing permissions of portal sites.
  • Perform DBA tasks, such as performance tuning and database maintenance, backups and archiving, performing system management and administrative functions, update and upgrade testing and maintain a complete and accurate library of system documentation.
  • Work with the Information Owner to compile a complete and accurate data catalog for the DON data cataloging initiative.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with configuring and administering database management systems (DBMS); 3+ years of specialized experience configuring and administering Microsoft SQL and Oracle DB applications and 2+ years of experience developing and implementing database backup and recovery processes is required
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Security+ is required
  • High level of functional competency with the Microsoft Server 2012 and Server 2016 Operating Systems.
  • Working knowledge of implementing server STIGs and DoD policies in database systems/applications
  • Working knowledge of database automation using scripting, virtual environments (MilCloud, AWS, Azure), and storage environments (SAN, NAS)
