Job Summary: The Data Visualization Developer provides A4R Basing & Logistics Analytics Data Environment (BLADE) Builder Development and seamless integration of Maven Smart Systems data, schema, and operational analytics. The Data Visualization Developer Utilizing Qlik Sense expertise to support the BLADE hosted on the DoW ADVANA Data Fabric, focusing on operational level (MAJCOM staff) and tactical-level (Wing and below) requirements gathering and development.

Job Description: The A4R Blade Builder Developer works closely with business analysts, product owners, and key stakeholders to design, develop, and implement custom dashboards, visualizations, and reports within Qlik Sense. Responsibilities include:

Core Dashboard & Analytics Development

  • Designing, developing, and deploying custom dashboards, data visualizations, and reporting products in Qlik Sense to meet complex organizational requirements.
  • Creating custom reporting solutions tailored for both operational and tactical audiences.
  • Employing expert-level SQL to build and modify complex queries for multisource datasets.

Maven Smart Systems (MSS) Integration & Support

  • Supporting continued data engagement requirements related to Mavin Smart System integration within core COP/CIP environments.
  • Integrating MSS data schemas and maintaining alignment with MSS COP, AIDP, and enterprise system architectures.
  • Assisting in modernization of MSS-related workflows such as unified aircraft object schemas developed in the Maven environment.
  • Enhancing MSS posture dashboards by combining automated BLADE data feeds with missionspecific manual input options.
  • Delivering interface and usability upgrades across MSSrelated portals to improve availability, readability, and operational execution.

Enterprise Data Environment Interoperability

  • Leveraging established BLADE standards, policies, and processes across NIPR, SIPR, and ADVANA environments to ensure interoperability.
  • Supporting MSS, NATO C2, COP/CIP, and multidomain data integrations as emerging priorities evolve.

Agile Collaboration

  • Participating in Kanban/SCRUM sprints, performing sprint summaries, and attending weekly standups and retrospectives.
  • Translating requirements into functional specifications, prototypes, and highimpact analytic products.

Training, Mentoring, & Governance

  • Collaborating with the BLADE team for continuous improvement, receiving and providing mentoring across SQL, Qlik development, and MSS-related data practices.
  • Submitting accurate BLADE requirements to the Basing and Logistics Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Steering Team (BLAAST).

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Minimum/General Experience: This position requires a minimum of five years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in performing systems analysis, development, and implementation for business sources. Requires experience with current technologies and, where required for the task, emerging technologies.

Specialized Experience:

  • MSS support including posture dashboards, schema alignment, interface enhancements, and COP/CIP integration.
  • Expert-level Structured Query Language (SQL) skills, enabling the creation and modification of complex queries.
  • Be proficient in gathering, analyzing, and translating requirements into functional specifications, prototypes, and working capabilities
  • Experience with Databricks and iQuery data access/management tools.
  • Preferred qualifications include Qlik Sense certifications (Business Analyst, Data Architect).
  • Preferred experience includes Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Lumira, Power BI, Business Objects.

Certifications:

While not strictly mandated by DoW 8570.01-M, the following certifications are highly desired:

  • Palantir Certifications (e.g. Data Engineer, Application Developer, AI Engineer, Foundry)
  • Qlik Sense Certification (e.g. Business Analyst, Data Architect)

Minimum Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study which provides substantial knowledge useful in managing large, complex AIS projects closely related to the work to be automated, and/or in a computer science, information system, a physical science, engineering or a mathematics - intensive discipline, or an applicable training certificate from an accredited training institution.

Education and experience requirements may be substituted with:

  • Master's Degree (in subjects described above) with three years relevant experience OR
  • No Degree and 11 years (nine directly related) experience.

Clearance: Secret

Germany TESA eligibility/certification required.

The likely salary range for this position is $107,950 - $146,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
