Job Summary:
Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an Engineer for their Mortgage Data Services MDS Application Monitoring Team. The role focuses on monitoring and triaging customer and partner-facing services, including APIs, microservices, and document workflows to ensure real-time business operations are not impacted.
Responsibilities:
• Monitoring and triage of customer and partner facing services, including APIs, microservices, portals, and document workflows, where issues impact real time business operations.
• Service availability monitoring
• API/UI alert triage
• Ticket creation and escalation
• Deeper log analysis and error pattern identification
• Service restarts or retries where authorized
• Partner impact analysis and status confirmation
• Rapid triage of customer visible incidents
• Verification of service recovery after restart or rollback
• Coordinated escalation to application and platform teams
• Clear status communication during high severity incidents
• Awareness of API security controls (auth failures, rate limits)
• Monitoring for abnormal traffic or error spikes
• Understanding of data sensitivity and access restrictions
• Adherence to least privilege access and security runbooks
• Synthetic and real user monitoring concepts
• Log aggregation and application error diagnostics
• Alerting based on user experience, not just infrastructure
• Integration with incident and on call escalation tools
Qualifications:

• 8 - 10 Years of experience
• API (Application programming interface) skills
• Monitoring and triage of customer and partner facing services, including APIs, microservices, portals, and document workflows
• REST API monitoring (availability, latency, error rates)
• Web application and UI health monitoring
• Microservices and service to service dependency awareness
• Certificate, endpoint, and authentication health checks
• Understanding of event driven and API based architectures
• Familiarity with document ingestion and processing flows
• Awareness of upstream/downstream service dependencies
• Environment awareness (Prod vs non Prod behavior)
• Synthetic and real user monitoring concepts
• Log aggregation and application error diagnostics
• Alerting based on user experience, not just infrastructure
