Project Overview:

Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company are in a joint consortium to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project and have the responsibility to deliver a successful project to our client.

Job Summary:

The Poland AP1000 Project is one of the largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects in Europe, bringing together world-class expertise, advanced technologies, and complex project delivery on a truly transformative scale. At the heart of this effort is a data-driven execution model where trusted information enables better decisions, improves efficiency, reduces risk, and drives project success. Central to this strategy is the Project's Common Data Environment (CDE), serving as the single source of truth for project information.

We are seeking a Sr. Analyst, Databricks and Reporting to join a dynamic and progressive Project Information Management team. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how data is transformed into actionable insights across every aspect of project delivery. Working closely with leaders and subject matter experts across Safety, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction, Project Controls, and Commissioning & Startup, you will help deliver the reporting, analytics, and data solutions that support one of the world's most significant nuclear construction projects.

Location: This position is based out of the Bechtel offices in Reston, Virginia

Major Responsibilities:
  • Extensive experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise analytics, reporting, and business intelligence environments that align with project execution objectives.
  • Advanced experience with Databricks augmented with experience in Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, or similar cloud-based analytics and data platforms.
  • Experience leading data engineering initiatives and developing scalable data pipelines, integrations, and enterprise reporting platforms.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, Spark, Databricks notebooks, data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and large-scale data processing.
  • Experience in the design, development and deployment of a Common Data Environment.
  • Experience working with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, or advanced analytics tools to improve reporting, data analysis, automation, forecasting, or knowledge management functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with leadership and SMEs to develop analytics strategies and translate technical findings into practical business insights.
  • Experience developing and visualizing KPIs, trends, forecasts, and operational intelligence using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Knowledge of DAX, data warehousing principles, master data management, and data governance practices.
  • Understanding of EPC project execution processes and the associated engineering, procurement, construction, project controls, quality, safety, and commercial data ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated leader with strong problem-solving capabilities and demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while providing strategic direction and technical leadership across multiple initiatives.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and at least 8 years of professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 12 years of professional experience.
  • Possess US Citizenship or US Permanent Residence status.
  • Must be able to pass nuclear security screening requirements and be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear power facility.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check including verification of employment, education, and travel.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience with extracting ‘data’ from business and technical systems and presenting ‘information’ suitable for timely decision making. 
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with Databricks for data management, analytics, data transformation, and reporting solutions; sound ledge of medallion architecture.
  • 2+ years experience leveraging AI, ML, Generative AI, or advanced analytical tools to enhance reporting, automate workflows, improve data quality, or support business decision-making.
  • 3+ years experience leading and engaging with the business to conduct analytics, quantify, design and deploy reports and assist with interpreting results. 
  • Knowledge and experience with PowerBi, DAX and MS PowerApps.
  • Demonstrable ability with executing queries on databases and business/technical systems to harness data to generate information reports.  High proficiency in SQL.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience and demonstrated capability to present information and analysis to senior management.
  • Must be able to work and adapt to changing work schedules.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Databricks Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, Power BI, Azure AI, or similar professional certifications.
  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), AI-assisted search, knowledge management, or predictive analytics solutions.
  • Experience implementing advanced analytics, forecasting models, anomaly detection, trend analysis, or intelligent automation capabilities within large project environments.
  • Experience supporting Common Data Environments (CDE), Project Information Models, Digital Twins, and enterprise project reporting ecosystems.
