Description:

The Data Analyst is responsible for providing data analysis and business intelligence solutions that enable business unit leaders to make informed decisions and drive operational growth. This role partners closely with Finance, Operations, and executive leadership to analyze complex datasets, develop dashboards and reports, identify trends, forecast business performance, and recommend process improvements that support strategic initiatives.

Location: Brentwood, TN (Hybrid)


Work Schedule: This position follows a hybrid schedule with in-office work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at our Brentwood, TN corporate office and remote work Monday and Friday.



Essential Job Duties

  • Collect, analyze, and report management data to support decisions on day-to-day operations, planning, and specific business performance issues.
  • Responsible for performing general analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets in various areas of the business.
  • Interpret data, analyze results, and provide insight to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities. Create and produce forecasts, reports, ad hoc requests, dashboards, etc.
  • Examine and identify data patterns and trends to help answer business questions and improve decision-making.
  • Activity includes defining data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modeling, and visualization.
  • Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of data analysis processes.
  • Identify and define both process and data improvements.
  • May monitor medium to long-term business trends/outlooks, gathering competitive intelligence to contribute to business planning discussions with leadership.
  • Produce actionable reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement in current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems.
  • Comply with established company policies and procedures.
  • Assume other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Financial Analysis, or a related analytical role.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and data analysis. s.
  • Strong experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience querying, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience leveraging multiple internal and external data sources to support business decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Experience performing data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance.
  • Experience automating reporting processes and improving reporting efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings to executive leadership and operational stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with ERP or financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
