This position offers a unique opportunity to combine operations, technology, research support, and data management within a fast-paced investment banking environment.
This is an excellent growth opportunity for someone who is highly organized, intellectually curious, and interested in building a career in research, knowledge management, or financial services. You'll work alongside experienced professionals who are committed to your development, providing hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to leading research platforms, market data resources, and emerging AI-driven tools.
At Baird, you'll be empowered to take ownership, continuously learn, and make a visible impact on a team that supports bankers across the globe. We offer a collaborative hybrid work environment, with in-office collaboration Tuesday through Thursday and remote work Monday and Friday, subject to business needs.
The Impact You'll Make
  • Maintain research and market-data operations - track subscriptions, user lists, and renewals across the firm's information-product vendors with accuracy and timeliness
  • Build and maintain spreadsheets of moderate-to-high complexity, including pivot tables, lookups, and usage/cost reporting
  • Field and route research requests, addressing questions that require knowledge of departmental and firm functions
  • Maintain data integrity across CRM and internal systems through accurate entries and regular cleanups
  • Assemble materials and compile research so the team can focus on serving bankers
  • Coordinate meetings, vendor demos, and training logistics; process vendor invoices and expenses, checking for accuracy

What You'll Bring to Baird
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum 2 years of relevant experience, with investment banking or financial services experience strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in library sciences, research support or knowledge management is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Exceptionally organized - consistent, accurate, and able to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Not afraid of technology - a proactive self-starter who learns new platforms quickly; exposure to AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT) and CRM platforms like Salesforce is a bonus
  • Intellectually curious - energized by learning new tools, data sources, and better ways to work
  • Detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and a flexible team player able to thrive under peak workloads

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Approximately $25 - $33 per hour, based on a 37.5 hour work week
  • Bonus potential up to 8.5% of base pay
  • Compensation and bonus are commensurate with experience, performance and/or firm profitability
  • You'll have the opportunity to advance your career while enjoying our comprehensive benefits designed for your life, career and future.
