Credence has an immediate opening for an experienced Database and Knowledge Manager who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Institute of Technology School of Civil Engineering (AFIT/CE) at WPAFB, OH. AFIT/CE is the Air Force's sole provider of professional continuing education courses in the area of civil engineering.

With more than 80 courses and seminars, the school plans, develops, and conducts resident and distance learning courses and programs to satisfy the professional continuing educational needs of civil engineer customers from the Department of the Air Force, DoW and other federal agencies. More than 12,000 students receive education from AFIT/CE each year. The school currently offers Air Force courses ranging in length from two days to 10 weeks in the disciplines of technical civil engineer courses, environmental, engineering management, and housing.

It is also the leader in distance and blended learning education for the civil engineering workforce, providing the tools, skills, and abilities to manage the entire spectrum of a civil engineering expertise through various media and forums. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below Optimize management functions to include decision making support and policy formulation/communication support. Collect data from multiple sources to analyze management functions and processes.

Develop, maintain, sort, and update AFIT/CE student databases and execute the management of AFIT/CE data existing in the Air Force, AETC, Air University databases. Track, organize, and inventory educational content in support of instructors across all delivery platforms and mediums. Assist in the deployment and upkeep of all educational content across all delivery platforms and mediums.

Analyze data to support management decision making and policy changes. Evaluate and suggest updated processes to optimize time, cost and implementation of processes to support all educational/academic management functions. Suggest appropriate metrics to be derived from databases to optimize operations of AFIT/CE.

Coordinate software updates and installation of all e-Learning software on school computers and tablets, maintain software license listings, renewal schedules and costs, update the school software license database and prepare for internal audits. Communicate and train faculty and staff on processes and document how all management support functions are maintained. Update all related websites (e.g., the AFIT website) and AFIT/CE SharePoint site with relevant policy, data and processes to support knowledge transfer to a successor contractor or Government individual.
