Job description

Job Title: Housing Operations - Student Worker

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Housing Operations - Student Worker to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through the Housing Operations department.

Purpose within the Organization:

The purpose of this position is to assist the Housing Operations team in the Office of Housing Operations with administrative office duties.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

  • Answering front office multi-line phones
  • Assist customers via walk-ins, phone calls, and emails
  • Provide administrative support
  • Assist with data entry
  • Complete various projects assigned

Equipment Used and Responsibility:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Outlook
  • StarRez
  • Cisco Finesse

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to provide excellent customer service
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to work, learn, and be flexible
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Must be available to work 20 hours a week during the semester work week and 40 hours a week during the summer work week (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 PM)
  • Must be flexible to work occasional nights and weekends
  • Summer availability is required

Experience/Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage

Anticipated End Date: June 30, 2027
