Your responsibilities
Job Summary
To accurately provide inventory information for company controlled material stock. Monitor, organize and maintain inventory of company product at multiple branch locations.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
  • Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill
  • Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements
  • Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags
  • Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket
  • Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff
  • Perform verification of scrap
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
  • Assist quality assurance team in activities related to credits
  • Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean up
  • Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements
  • This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery
  • Meet all other TKMNA employee attributes and competencies

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements :
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems
  • Basic computer skills for data entry into inventory management system
  • Ability to use tape measure and calipers for material inspection/measurement
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in written work and data entry
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. with or without accommodation
  • Certification to operate material handling equipment, examples include forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry-picker

Preferred requirements:
  • Some college course work, leading toward completion of degree
  • 3 years of material control or inventory experience
  • Previous experience safely operating a variety of material handling equipment (forklift, side-loader, etc.)
